ANALISIS STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PRODUK KERAJINAN ANYAMAN BAMBU DI PULAU LOMBOK, NUSA TENGGARA BARAT
On the island of Lombok, there are centers for woven bamboo handicrafts with high production potential, but not yet optimally developed. This study aims to: determine strategies in the development of woven bamboo handicrafts on the island of Lombok both at the craftsmen level and at the policy making level. This research was conducted on the island of Lombok with locations in all districts, namely West Lombok, Central Lombok, North Lombok and East Lombok Regencies. The research method used is descriptive method with primary data collection through in-depth interviews with stakeholders from related agencies and business actors, as well as structured interviews with selected bamboo weaving craftsmen at the research location. The data obtained were analyzed by means of a SWOT analysis (Strength, Weaknesess, Opportunities and Treath). The research results show that: The strategies at the craftsman level are: (1) increasing cooperation between related stakeholders, both collectors and entrepreneurs for product development in order to compete in the market, (2) increasing human resource capacity by participating in training from related government agencies, and (3) ) strengthening the craftsmen group organization. Meanwhile, the strategies at the policy-making level are: (1) developing infrastructure, (2) facilitating licensing, (3) implementing central government policies through regulations that can be guided by local governments, (4) facilitating training for craftsmen skills, (5) expanding access to information, ( 6) inviting new investors, (7) expanding market access, and (8) increasing credit for investment.
