The signing of the MoU, one of which discussed collaboration on strengthening journal management (Collaboration of reviewers and editors)

On March 5, 2024, the leadership team of Mahidol University's Faculty of Pharmacy (MUPY), headed by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luerat Anuratpanich, the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Pattamapan Lomarat, the Deputy Dean for Planning and Quality Development, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, the Program Director of the Social, Economic and Administrative Pharmacy Program, extended a warm welcome to a delegation from Indonesia led by Prof. Dr. Daryono Hadi Tjahjono, the President of the Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy (AASP), alongside Prof. Dr. Yandi Syukri, the President of the Association of Indonesian Pharmacy Higher Education (AIPHE), as well as the Deans or Executives of 42 Indonesian universities affiliated with AIPHE.

The purpose visit to MUPY was to participate in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, and the Faculties/Schools/Departments of Pharmacy of various Indonesian Universities. Following the meeting, the delegation had the opportunity to tour MUPY's service centers and research facilities, including the Center of Biopharmaceutical Science for Healthy Aging (BSHA), the Center of Molecular Targeting and Integrated Drug Development (CMT-IDD), and MUPY's Dermocosmetic Testing Center.

The MoU on Academic Collaboration, with a duration spanning five years from March 5, 2024, to March 4, 2029, was established to facilitate academic exchange and cooperation in pharmaceutical education, pharmaceutical sciences, educational exchange, scientific research, and technology transfer. The collaboration aims to promote equality, reciprocity, and mutual understanding among the participating institutes. Activities under this collaboration include the exchange of faculty members, researchers, and students at all levels, collaborative research and academic publications, and the organization of seminars and international academic conferences. Additionally, this collaboration aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 17, focusing on reducing inequality within and among countries and strengthening partnerships for sustainable development.
