Market segmentation needs to be done with the aim of marketing can be done optimally. <strong>Purpose of the study:</strong> to determine market segmentation based on the characteristics of health service users in the non-mental outpatient clinic of Menur Mental Hospital, East Java Province. <strong>Research Methods:</strong> This type of research is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population was non-mental outpatients of Menur Mental Hospital, East Java Province, totaling 99 respondents. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data analysis using non-hierarchical cluster test. <strong>Research Results:</strong> shows that market segmentation in the non-life outpatient clinic of Menur Mental Hospital is divided into three segments. Segment I is hospital care maximizer, segment II is hospital care minimizer, segment III is hospital care aversion. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Market segmentation at Menur Mental Hospital, East Java Province is grouped into three segments, namely hospital care maximizer, hospital care minimizer, and hospital care aversion.</p> Yasmine Alisha Tari Syahputri, Anif Prasetyorini Copyright (c) 2024 JOHAR (Journal of Hospital Administration Research) https://journal.unsika.ac.id/johar/article/view/12118 Tue, 26 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Effectiveness of Providing Educational Information Counseling (IEC) Related to Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 to the Community of Sungaibuntu Village, Karawang Regency https://journal.unsika.ac.id/johar/article/view/12328 <p><em>Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease that is increasingly preval_ent in the global community, including in Indonesia. In Sungaibuntu Village, the preval_ence of obesity and hypertension is quite high, while the community still lacks understanding and awareness of the dangers and early symptoms of DM. Therefore, an appropriate Information Education Counseling (IEC) program is essential to increase community knowledge and awareness, so that they can actively participate in maintaining their health. This study was a descriptive observational study with a one group pretest-posttest research design conducted on the community of Sungaibuntu Village, Karawang Regency, with a sample of 71 people selected by purposive sampling. Research data were collected using a questionnaire related to community knowledge about DM, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and independent sample T-test. The results showed a significant change in knowledge between before and after the IEC treatment. In addition, the IEC proved to be effective in increasing respondents' knowledge about DM. In Indonesia, the age group with the highest hypertension is the elderly. </em><strong><em>Research Objective:</em></strong><em> To determine the relationship between age and occupation with the incidence of hypertension in Sungaibuntu. </em><strong><em>Research Method:</em></strong><em> Quantitative analytical research with a cross sectional research design, using primary data through questionnaires and blood pressure measurements on research respondents, namely residents of Sungaibuntu. </em><strong><em>Research Results:</em></strong><em> There is a significant relationship between age and systolic blood pressure (p=0.0001), and there is a significant relationship between age and diastolic blood pressure (p=0.018). Meanwhile, for the work variable, there was no relationship between work and systolic blood pressure (p=0.335), and there was no significant relationship between work and diastolic blood pressure (p=0.223). </em><strong><em>Conclusion:</em></strong><em> There is a positive correlation between age and systolic blood pressure and age and diastolic blood pressure, meaning that the higher the age, the higher the incidence of hypertension. The results of this research include descriptive analysis and logistic regression tests. Where the results of the data analysis show that the value of infection prevention and control training (0.038 &lt; 0.05) and the frequency of training (0.020 &lt; 0.05) influence the performance of nurses at the </em><em>RSUD Haji</em><em>.</em><em> </em><em>Meanwhile, the variables age, length of service and level of education have no effect on the performance of nurses at the </em><em>RSUD Haji</em><em>.</em><em> T</em><em>he training frequency variable is proven to have a significant influence on improving nurse performance. This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge &amp; attitudes of cleaning staff regarding medical waste management at Pidie Jaya Hospital, Pidie Jaya Regency. This type of research is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach. The populations in this study was 25 cleaning staff at Pidie Jaya Regional Hospital. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used the chi square statistical test. The results of the research explain that there is a relationship between the knowledge of cleaning staff and medical waste management at Pidie Jaya Regional Hospital, Pidie Jaya Regency. Apart from that, there is a relationship between the attitude of cleaning staf towards medical waste management at Pidie Jaya Hospital, Pidie Jaya Regency.
