Publication Ethics

JESIKA adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent publication malpractice, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, fake data fabrication and manipulation, authorship disputes, and undisclosed conflicts of interest. Jesika follows the guidelines set forth by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and expects all authors, reviewers, and editors to abide by these principles:

  1. Originality and Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  2. Authorship and Contributorship: All authors must have made a significant contribution to the work, and the authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution.

  3. Data Fabrication and Falsification: The data presented in the manuscript must be accurate, authentic and should not be manipulated.

  4. Conflicts of Interest: All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, professional, or personal relationships that may influence the research or interpretation of the results.

  5. Peer Review Process: The peer review process must be fair, impartial and conducted in confidence. Reviewers must also be free of conflicts of interest.

  6. Transparency and Correction: If errors or inaccuracies are detected in the published work, the authors, in consultation with the editor, must promptly publish a correction or retraction.

JESIKA takes all allegations of publication malpractice seriously and will investigate all claims thoroughly. If a breach of publication ethics is identified, Jesika will take appropriate action, including but not limited to, publication of an erratum or retraction, or contacting the authors' institution.
