Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Hukum De’Jure: Kajian Ilmiah Hukum is applying the double-blind review process. The authors are welcome to suggest at least three potential reviewers along with name and their email address. However, the decision to determine the appropriate reviewers is right of editor. The approved gallery proof of manuscript will early view online as early as possible upon received from author and final proof reading by editor in chief.

Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are not allowed. A software tool may be used so that the submitted articles are screened for plagiarism. Detection of overlapping and similar text is used there and so quotations and appropriate citations have to be used whenever required. It is basically author’s duty to only submit a manuscript that is free from plagiarism and academically malpractices. The editor, however, double checks each article before its publication. The first step is to check plagiarism against offline database by Jurnal Ilmiah Hukum De’Jure: Kajian Ilmiah Hukum Editorial Board and, secondly, against as much as possible online databases.

  1. The editorial board selects and edits incoming scripts without changing the substance. The manuscript that is loaded gets an honorarium.
  2. Manuscripts that are published will be notified as print-worthy after editing and through the editing process together with the Editorial Board.
  3. Manuscripts that are published are manuscripts that follow the rules in the writing guidelines and are declared eligible based on the results of editing from the editor and reviewer.
  4. Manuscripts that are not loaded will be notified and returned.
  5. Manuscripts submitted to the Editorial Board are bound by a review policy.
  6. The manuscript that will be further processed and reviewed is the manuscript that has been through the process of selection and editing by the Editorial Board by the Guidelines for Writing the Manuscript.
  7. The manuscript will be reviewed by reviewers who have intellectual skills in their fields, such as Stated Law, Criminal Law and Civil Law.
  8. Reviewers selected and appointed based on qualifications have published articles in Accredited National Journals and Accredited International Journals based on Dean's Decree issued by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang.
  9. The review process is a double-blind review in which the reviewer must be independent even though he already knows the identity of the author and the author does not know the identity of the reviewer who reviewed the journal.
  10. The review process includes several aspects of assessment such as the authenticity of the manuscript, objectivity, methods and scientific contributions.
  11. The review process until the decision appears whether or not the manuscript is accepted no later than 4 weeks.
