Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis lebih dalam tentang bagaimana perkembangan partisipasi politik masyarakat telah berevolusi seiring dengan perubahan zaman dan teknologi modern, khususnya dalam era digital. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah systematic literature review (SLR) yang menggunakan 202 artikel ilmiah dari database Scopus. Review artikel ini menggunakan aplikasi Vosviewer. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bagaimana media sosial dan teknologi digital mempengaruhi partisipasi politik yang telah mengalami transformasi dengan adanya teknologi digital, terutama melalui platform media sosial untuk berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam proses politik. Fenomena ini menandai pergeseran paradigma dalam partisipasi politik, di mana individu dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam proses politik melalui media sosial, membuka ruang perdebatan yang lebih luas. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada perspektif media sosial telah menjadi alat yang efektif untuk memobilisasi dan mengorganisir masyarakat sehingga memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap penguatan demokrasi. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah bahwa artikel yang digunakan hanya bersumber dari database Scopus sehingga temuan penelitian mungkin tidak dapat menggambarkan secara komprehensif isu-isu global seperti perbedaan akses dan penggunaan teknologi juga dapat menciptakan hambatan terhadap kesetaraan yang terkait partisipasi politik aktif di era digital. Penelitian berikutnya perlu menggunakan artikel ilmiah yang bersumber data dari database internasional lainnya, seperti Web of Science dan Dimensions Scholars, untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang lebih komprehensif tentang isu-isu politik dan demokrasi.
