Abstract

Constraints in the development or cultivation of strawberries is the provision of seeds. This study aims to determine the effect of immersion time and dose of B1 on strawberry seedlings from tillers/stolons. The research was conducted in Gandatapa village, Sumbang sub-district, Banyumas district, Central Java, in December 2021-January 2022. The tools and materials used in this study were: seeds from stolons, polybags, B1/thiamin, planting media, buckets, bamboo racks. This study used a completely randomized design with two factors. The first factor is the immersion time which consists of three levels, namely: T0 0 hours, T1 12 hours, and  T2 24 hours. The second factor was the dose of B1 which consisted of D0 0 ml B1/1 liter, D1 10 ml/1 liter, D2 20 ml/1 liter and D3 30 ml/1 liter of water.There are 12 treatment combinations which  repeated 3 times. Observation Parameter consist from crown height, number of leaves, number of tillers, chlorophyll content, number of stolon and number of fruit. The obtained data were tested statistically by means of a variance test, if significant, followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the immersion time (hours) had a significant effect on the variables of crown height,  number of tillers and stolons. The immersion time of 12 hours showed optimum results in these three parameters. The doses of B1 also significantly affected the strawberry seedlings on parameters: crown height, number of tillers, chlorophyll content, and number of stolon.. The dose 30 ml/liter increased the height of the crown and the number of tillers, while the dose of 20 ml/liter increased the number of tillers and chlorophyll content. There was no interaction between two treatments that have been tried.
