Abstrak

Pengelolaan limbah medis menjadi sangat penting karena limbah medis berbahaya sehingga menimbulkan ancaman serius tidak hanya terhadap pasien dan petugas kesehatan namun juga terhadap masyarakat dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan & sikap petugas kebersihan tentang pengelolaan sampah medis di RSU Pidie Jaya Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah petugas kebersihan di RSUD Pidie Jaya sebanyak 25 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistic Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa ada hubungan pengetahuan petugas kebersihan terhadap pengelolaan sampah medis di RSUD Pidie Jaya Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Selain itu, ada hubungan sikap petugas kebersihan terhadap pengelolaan sampah medis di RSUD Pidie Jaya Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Sehingga Pengetahuan dan Sikap yang baik pada petugas kebersihan akan membuat pengelolaan sampah medis yang baik di rumah sakit.
