Uji Efek Ekstrak Bawang Hitam (Allium sativum) terhadap Penurunan Kadar Glikosa Darah pada Tikus Putih (Rattus novergicus L) dengan Metode Tes Toleransi Glukosa Oral (TTGO)

Abstract
Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ekstrak bawang hiam (allium sativum) memberikan efek dalam penurunan kadar gula darah pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus L) galur wistar yang diinduksi diabetes dibandingkan dengan kelompok negatif serta untuk mengetahui kelompok ekstrak bawang hitam (allium sativum) dapat memberikan hasil yang optimal dalam penuunan kadar gula darah dibandingkan kelompok positif. Pengujian efek antidiabetes hewan uji dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan One Way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD. Hasil uji terhadap tikus yang diinduksi diabetes menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak bawang hitam secara signifikan mampu menurunkan kadar gula darah dibandingkan kontrol negative (p<0,05), namun hasilnya tidak berbeda nyata dengan kelompok kontrol positif (p>0,05). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bawang hitam memiliki kemampuan menurunkan kadar gula darah pada tikus yang diinduksi diabetes. Nilai % Penurunan Kadar Gula Darah (PKGD) dari kontrol positif sebesar 36%, Kontrol negatif sebesar 66%, kontrol ekstrak 28%, Kontrol induksi diabetes sebesar 58%.
