Analisis Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita pada Materi Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel
Abstrak
The purpose of this study was to determine students' mathematical reasoning skills in solving story-shaped problems. Descriptive qualitative research was used as the research method. Students of SMP Negeri 6 Karawang in the 2023/2024 academic year are the population of this study, the research sample is class VIII students of SMPN 6 Karawang as many as 38 people from one class. Tests and interviews were used to collect data. The subjects for the interview were 5 students, the determination of these subjects was taken from the test results that represented each indicator. Data analysis involves data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. By comparing the results of mathematical reasoning ability tests and interviews, the research data is triangulated, which shows the relationship between test results and interviews. The results showed that students with moderate ability had overall mathematical reasoning ability obtained an average of all indicators of 18% in the moderate category. Students' mathematical reasoning ability reached 20% in indicator I, reached 20% in indicator II, reached 19% in indicator III, reached 14% in indicator IV, and reached 19% in indicator V. However, some students did not meet all five criteria. However, some students did not fulfill the five criteria of mathematical reasoning ability well, and the answers of each student in the indicators were different.
