Analisis Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Ditinjau dari Keaktifan Belajar
Abstract
The main foundation in the mathematics learning process is mastering the ability to understand concepts. Meanwhile, learning activeness is one of the factors that can support the improvement of students' mathematical concept understanding ability. This study aims to analyze and provide a description of students' mathematical concept understanding ability in terms of the level of mathematical learning activeness. This research uses a qualitative approach by applying descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out through the administration of a learning activeness questionnaire and a description test of mathematical concept understanding ability. The research subjects consisted of three students of class VIII F at one of the public junior high schools in Karawang district, selected using the purposive sampling technique, representing each category of learning activeness namely high, medium, and low. The results showed a significant relationship between the ability to understand mathematical concepts and the level of learning activeness possessed by students. Students with high levels of learning activeness have better mathematical concept understanding skills compared to students who have moderate and low levels of learning activeness.
