Analisis Mutu dan Uji Metabolit Sekunder dalam Simplisia Biji Jinten Hitam (Nigella sativa L.)

Abstract
Latar Belakang: Jinten hitam (Nigella sativa L.) tanaman herbal berasal dari daerah medaterania dengan family Ranunculaceace. Tanaman ini memiliki banyak khasiat seperti antioksidan, antiinflamasi dan antidiabetes. Budidaya tanaman jinten hitam membutuhkan tanah yang memiliki kadar nitrogen baik. Tujuan: mengetahui proses pengujian mutu dan metabolit sekunder yang terkandung dalam simplisia biji jinten hitam. Metode: Simplisia biji jinten hitam melalui uji karakteristik parameter spesifik dan non-spesifik Hasil: Analisis skrining fitokimia dibuktikan bahwa biji jinten hitam mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder berupa alkaloid, tanin, kuinon, terpen, dan fenolat. Analisis karakteristik spesifik dan non-spesifik meliputi susut pengeringan (6.95%), kadar air (11.11%), kadar abu total (51.05%), kadar sari larut air (62.93%), dan kadar sari larut etanol (3.5%). Kesimpulan: Hasil analisis skrining fitokimia dan parameter non spesifik mendapatkan hasil yang belum bisa dikatakan maksimal dan perlu adanya uji pengulangan.
