Induksi Dietilstilbestrol (DES) Terhadap Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplacia (CIN) Pada Tikus Wistar Neonatal Betina

Abstract

DES adalah hormon  estrogen sintetik yang bermanfaat sebagai terapi sulih hormon, namun ternyata DES juga dapat memicu pertumbuhan sel abnormal pada epitel serviksyang akan berkembang menjadi kanker serviks. Kanker  serviks  berkaitan  dengan  potensi  invasi  dan  metastasis  dimana  gold standarnya adalah pemeriksaan histopatogi. Pada pemeriksaan histopatologi sel epitel seviks dapat ditemukan sel abnormal atau displasia sel, dan digolongkan dengan menggunakan stadium cervical intraepithelial neoplacia (CIN). Pada stadium CIN1 tidak perlu terapi, 80% displasia sel dapat kembali normal. CIN II & III dapat berkembang menjadi sel kanker (true cervical cancers precursors). CIN disebut sebagai sel-sel pra kanker yang jika tidak ditangani lebih lanjut akan berpotensi menjadi kanker. Namun demikian tidak semua wanita yang mengalami CIN akan menderita kanker. Penelitian ini menggunakan tikus strain Wistar betina berumur 3-5 hari, yang diberikan paparan DES dosis 1500 µgram/KgBB selama 35 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok yang diberikan DES 100% mengalami CIN dengan sebaran  40% Stadium CIN2 dan CIN3 serta 20% CIN1. Kelompok kontrol 100% normal atau tanpa CIN. Hasil uji chi square ada efek yang bermakna antara pemberian DES dengan terjadinya CIN dengan nilai p<0,05,
